If your domain is registered with GoDaddy and your website is hosted on Hostinger, you connect the two by pointing the domain at Hostinger’s nameservers. It takes about five minutes, plus some waiting time.
Step 1: Get Hostinger’s nameservers
- Log in to your Hostinger account.
- Go to Hosting, then Manage, then Nameservers.
- Copy the nameservers Hostinger shows you. They usually look like this:
- ns1.dns-parking.com
- ns2.dns-parking.com
Use the exact nameservers Hostinger gives you, even if they look slightly different from these.
Step 2: Update the nameservers in GoDaddy
- Log in to your GoDaddy account.
- Go to My Products and find your domain.
- Click Manage DNS next to the domain.
- Scroll down to Nameservers and click Change.
- Choose the option to enter your own nameservers instead of GoDaddy’s defaults.
- Paste in the two Hostinger nameservers.
- Save.
Step 3: Wait for DNS to propagate
The change can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours to apply worldwide, though it’s usually faster. Once it has, your domain will load the website on your Hostinger account.
